The hook steps down to neatly fit a 6-gauge needle.The BlackRam should be used with a 1/4" D shackle or 3/16" twist shackle. The coil can be a little too wide for a 3/16" D shackle.<h3>Closing and opening</h3>The BlackRam requires quite a bit of force to close and even more force to open.
